BAKER COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE: Baker County Sheriff Scotty Rhoden said 60-year-old Dwayne Robinson was found dead Tuesday afternoon.

Rhoden said Robinson’s body was found in a wooded area about 300 yards off a trail in Sanderson. He said they do not believe foul play was involved.

First Coast News spoke with Robinson’s family less than an hour before he was found dead.

“My husband’s in my dreams, he says, ‘I’m coming home to you my love.’” said Jeanette Robinson, Robinson’s wife.

“He always had a good attitude, always was laughing or rapping,” said Robinson’s cousin Alvin Page. “He was the type of guy that was gonna put a smile on your face.”

“[He] would give you the shirt off your back if that’s what you needed,” said Robinson’s cousin Penny Maxwell.

Multiple agencies were conducting a “large-scale ground search” Tuesday morning for Robinson, who had been missing since last week.

“It’s a sad day but we’re gonna be here to support the family,” said Rhoden.

Rhoden said law enforcement was able to narrow down the search area through cell phone tower pings and use technology showing a grid of the area to organize the search.

A helicopter, airplane, K-9s, ATVs and a mounted unit from multiple agencies were involved in the search. Rhoden said even high school students helped pass out water at the command post on Five Churches Road. Rhoden said before getting to this point, investigators had to follow leads and go through hours of surveillance videos last weekend.
