PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — 8 p.m. UPDATE: Multiple crews responded to a 150-acre wildfire in Hollister Wednesday night, stemming from a “spotover” from a fire Tuesday night, according to Putnam County Fire Rescue.

A Putnam County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said the “Roberts Ranch Fire” caused smokey conditions in the area. There are no road closures, no evacuations in place and no structures threatened, the Forest Service confirmed.

Around 8:08 p.m., the Forest Service said crews had the “head” of the fire “knocked down,” and progression had stopped.

“Crews are working the left flank and widening containment lines back towards the heel of the fire,” the Forest Service said in an update.

Putnam County Fire Rescue is also responding to another fire in the Bardin area, which has spread to approximately 10 acres near Harvey Drive and Fawn Trail.
