Is iMessage down? Some users report messages won’t send
WASHINGTON — Apple reported an issue affecting some users of its messaging app, iMessage, was fixed Thursday afternoon.
Thousands of reports of outages began pouring in on DownDetector just before 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
People on social media complained of messages not going through or taking a very long time to send, and some reported issues with Apple’s FaceTime video calling app. The outage seemed to affect people across cell carriers.
Some users reported a brief outage while others saw prolonged issues.
