Woman with memory loss missing in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Willie Pearl Austin, 72, was located safe.

A 72-year-old woman who is “showing signs of memory loss and confusion” has been reported missing Monday afternoon.

Willie Pearl Austin was reported missing around 3 p.m. in the Springfield area. She left a home in the 600 block of West 8th Street at around 9:30 a.m. She was later seen in the 3100 block of North Main Street at about 11:15 a.m. and has not been seen since then.

Austin is Black, 5’1 and 130 pounds. She was brown and grey hair which she was wearing in a bun. She was wearing a grey sweatshirt, grey sweatpants and grey and purple Nike sneakers.
