The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the 3-year-old child was last seen Sunday afternoon, and is believed to be in the company of a 49-year-old man.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for a missing 3-year-old girl who was last seen in Northwest Jacksonville, according to a news release.

JSO says Tahiry Elanii Brown, 3, was last seen on foot in the 7000 block of Ken Knight Drive on Sunday at approximately 2:30 p.m.

“Detectives believe Tahiry is in the company of Jamall C. Mayfield, and it has been reported to us that he is hard of hearing,” the release states.

Police say efforts to locate Tahiry and Mayfield have been unsuccessful thus far.

“Due to the circumstances involved and Tahiry’s tender age, we are asking for assistance in locating her and verifying her safety,” the release states.

Tahiry is 3-feet tall, weighs 30 pounds, has brown eyes and black braids, and was last seen wearing a short sleeve “Minnie Mouse” dress with purple slides, according to JSO.

Mayfield is 5’11, weighs 170 pounds, has brown eyes, is bald, and was last seen wearing a black baseball style cap, a black “Anti-Social” sweatshirt, black pants and black boots, police say.

“At this point, I don’t know what’s going on, where she could be at,” Tahiry’s mother told First Coast News. “I’m actually afraid what’s going on right about now. I don’t know what’s going on… literally and I’m so scared. I just want my baby home.”

Anyone having seen or who knows the whereabouts of Tahiry or Mayfield is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or 911.
