JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Hundreds of customers were impacted after a vehicle crashed into an electrical transformer on Baymeadows Road Saturday afternoon, according to a JEA spokesperson.

One person was taken to the hospital after the crash on Baymeadows Road and Princeton Square Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. The victim’s injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening, a JFRD spokesperson said.

Close to 950 JEA customers were affected by the incident.

JEA estimates all power to be restored within four to six hours, a spokesperson confirmed to First Coast News around 7 p.m. Saturday.

JEA crews are on site, working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible, the spokesperson added.
