Florida man finds ‘squiggly’ shark

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A Brevard County man made quite the discovery last month when he found a shark with a rare deformity.
The FWC Fish and Wildlife Research Institute said while conditions in fish like these are rare, the team has encountered “similar anomalies” in other shark and bony fish species.
Examples of these fish, like the seatrout pictured below, can be spotted by identifying the strange shape of the vertebral column.
The shark that Tittle found was released.
